Lord Rymark na'Verra Handernesse is the leader of House Handernesse, presently one of the more prominent noble Houses, and the only known surviving member of its ruling bloodline.
Personality:
The only surviving noble of the Handernesse line, Rymark attempts to remain true to his House and guide it well, despite his elder sister's disappearance only five years ago. Perhaps fortunately, he's aided by the general Handernesse personality traits: stubborn strong will, an even wider independent streak, intense focus, ambition, and the ruthlessness to go with it. On the flip side, he also has the Handernesse honor — which most anyone else wouldn't consider exactly 'honor'. Absolutely anything goes, except where allies are concerned, so long as it furthers the House. Not Maratha, not Istria; what matters to Rymark is Handernesse as a whole, down to and including the very least retainer. When it comes to those who offer Handernesse loyalty, be it as member or as ally, Rymark is as steadfast as anyone could wish, even if his methods occasionally leave things to be desired… at least by those with more scruples than he.

Though Rymark is a level 2 tainted, it is his mind that is affected most. He has no physical alterations due to taint, no abilities granted save an edge in reflex speed, nothing obvious that makes him stand out from the rest of the human-seeming crowd.
